The course is an online learning program designed to educate individuals about the opioid crisis in Canada and provide them with tools and resources to help reduce stigma around opioid use. The course covers topics such as responding to an opioid poisoning emergency, sharing bite-sized messages about harm reduction, and using social media to spread awareness. It is self-directed, meaning that learners can work through the training materials at their own pace. The course is intended for anyone aged 13 or older who is interested in learning more about the opioid crisis and taking action to reduce the stigma around opioid use. It has no prerequisites. This initiative was funded by Health Canada’s Substance Use and Addictions Program (SUAP), but the views expressed in the course do not necessarily represent the views of Health Canada.
